General principle: xAgent Expenses is available for iOS and Android and works without a user account or a proprietary backend server. All data entered or generated within the app, including vehicles, trips, journeys, recorded routes and settings, is stored locally on your device. We, as the app provider, do not receive or have access to this data. Certain optional functions may communicate with services provided by Apple, Google or other system providers, as described below.
Location data: The app accesses your device’s location only after you explicitly start a trip using the “Start Trip” function and continues recording until you select “End Trip”. Location access requires your permission through the operating system.
To ensure that trip recording continues when the screen is locked or the app is running in the background, xAgent Expenses uses the location services provided by iOS or Android, as applicable.
Location data is used exclusively to record your trips and calculate related journey information. Recorded location points and routes are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
You can manage or revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. Disabling location access may prevent automatic trip recording.
Address lookup: To display readable start and destination addresses, the app may use the geocoding services provided by the respective operating system or its service provider.
On iOS, address lookup is performed using Apple’s geocoding services. On Android, address lookup is performed using the geocoding functionality available on the device, which may rely on Google or another service provider.
For this purpose, the coordinates of the relevant start and destination locations may be transmitted to the respective service provider. The privacy policies of those providers apply to their processing of this information.
You can disable address lookup in the app settings. When disabled, only geographic coordinates are displayed.
Export: PDF and CSV files are generated locally on your device. Files are exported or shared only when you explicitly initiate an export or use the operating system’s sharing function, for example to send a file by email or save it to another application.
Any subsequent processing or sharing of exported files is subject to the privacy policies and terms of the services you choose.
No tracking: xAgent Expenses does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools. The app does not display advertisements and does not use your trip or location data for advertising, profiling or behavioral tracking.
Deletion: All app data is stored locally on your device. You can delete individual trips, journeys and vehicles directly within the app.
Uninstalling the app removes its locally stored application data, subject to the backup and data retention mechanisms of your operating system.
Your rights: As we do not receive or store the personal data you enter or generate within xAgent Expenses, we cannot directly access, retrieve, correct or delete that locally stored information on your behalf.
You can manage and delete your locally stored app data using the functions provided within the app.
